Overview for Patients

North West Pathology has collection centres operating throughout the north west and west of Tasmania. The experienced and friendly staff at our collection centres are highly trained. If you are having particular specialised tests or bringing young children for specimen collection, you may be required to attend a specific collection centre.  Staff are also available to visit ill and infirm patients requiring home collection.

We understand that having blood or other specimens collected can cause anxiety for some patients, especially children.  We aim to minimise this by providing an extensive list of Frequently Asked Questions and Pre-Testing Information sheets. If you feel anxious about any aspect of testing please feel free to call your nearest collection centre to discuss your concerns with the pathology collector.
